Baby it’s cold inside.

Why play Christmas songs that include the Savior?

In an effort to show the calculated process that has brought us political correctness we will have to start with a brief history lesson. The lesson will be brief yet not long enough for those immersed in history. The lesson is simply a foundation for why those on a politically correct crusade think their speech is holier that those who embrace the Biblical roots of the first amendment in the Bill of Rights.

Let us rewind to 1923. This is the year an influential institution was started for the study of social research.  This school of thought would teach practical methods for a philosophy that would undermine Christian societies. The Frankford institute has succeeded by formulating a practical application for socialism. The methods and social engineering they taught has succeeded in demoralizing great nations and the greatest nation in history, America.

“The members of the Institute have been credited for the development of a model of Critical Theory, a type of Marxism influenced by psychoanalysis and existentialism, and their influential aesthetic theories and critiques of capitalist culture.”[1] The Frankfurt School, also known as the Institute of Social Research and by some as the Karl Marx University is a social and political philosophical movement of thought originally located in Frankfurt, Germany.[2] It later moved to Columbia University in New York.

Social theory becomes critical theory when it gently attacks the core issues involving the innovations of a capitalist society, the definition of social emancipation and the perceived pathologies of society.[3] Critical theory provides a specific interpretation of Marxist philosophy and reinterprets some of its central economic and political notions making it a workable tool for subversion.

Critical theory is applied to a wide variety of economic, social, political and aesthetic topics. It challenges and opposes the traditional dominant order of economic, political, ideological, and theoretical roles for society.[4] It is a philosophy that criticizes the prevailing view in a society, undermines social practices.

This means that whatever a society holds dear, and what gives it identity, cohesion and uniqueness, is replaced a little at a time with something else. If a people group like singing about Jesus at Christmas the music will become more and more about jingle bells and Siberian orchestra type songs. O Holy Night is now the Christmas train. Instead of falling on our knees to find hope, direction, and comfort we look to Amazon for fulfillment and Google for direction.

Another extreme is “Baby it’s cold outside” as offensive yet fifty shades of grey is freedom of expression.

Fight back. Sing about the reason for the season, Jesus.

The subversion of our culture is calculated, orchestrated and allowed. We embrace and allow it, but it can be stopped, by warming the heart with scripture.

Read the account of Christmas in the Gospels. There are four accounts, for different audiences, yet end with one conclusion, Jesus is the reason for Christmas.

Many people hope there is a person like Santa Clause.

There is and His Name is Jesus.

Believing in His birth, life, death and resurrection will make Christmas a living experience.

Character behind suffering

Finding a way out of pain is a great process and could lead to transformation. Transformation means becoming Christ like.  Although pain seems like the number one enemy, pain is something that we can embrace, learn from and then pass through. Choosing to find a solution for pain needs to be embraced with the knowledge that feeling pain is part of the healing process. It should never be viewed as something God sent.

It is not something God sent, it is a response built into the body and soul. Pain is something that tells us something is wrong so that we can choose to fix it and get free from pain. It is important to realize the Jesus bore the pain of humanity when He died on the cross. All pain was placed on Him, so legally, if Jesus bore our pain, there must be a way for me not to have to bear that pain.

To begin a healing experience, it is important to trust God with the end result of your healing process. In other words, even if you are in pain and you understand Jesus carried your pain on the cross, you can still put faith in action by acknowledging in your heart that God’s word is true and you are trusting God, not your eyes, feelings, good actions or your bad actions but God’s love and ability with a good final outcome. Trusting God with a good outcome implies that God did not sent the pain and is there to provide wisdom on how to walk free from pain. Some Christians have a strong doctrine about pain and feel that God allows it. Their Theodicy, what people believe about evil and suffering, is often confused because they judge God’s character as half evil.  God revealed Himself as the God who heals and not the one, who steals, kills and destroys so let’s extrapolate or walk the thoughts out about God allowing pain. If God allowed pain then maybe he sent it to fulfill some sort of higher purpose, like purge you of sin. Some people can quote scripture to back up this view but the life of Jesus says God’s character wants everyone healed and Jesus healed them all many times. If God used pain to perfect His children God would have to admit that placing pain and sin on Jesus, on the cross was a mistake. Paul would have to admit he forgot to list the gift of pain among the 1 Corinthians 12:28 gifts God set in the church to perfect the saints.

Saying God used the evil of pain would imply that God has a duel nature capable of hurting or healing the same children He sent His Son to die for. The first chapter of James says God does not tempt people with evil and anyone who has religious views on where temptation comes from should put their hand on their mouth. James explains where pain comes from.

The fourth chapter of 1 John says God is love and there is no fear in that perfect love. Saying that God used pain on anyone would mean God has a dissociated identity disorder and can have a personality shift in order to teach you something.

Believing this kind of junk about God will undermine your confidence when you come to Him. How can you come to someone for help who you think they might break your fingers if you don’t cough up ten percent?

You would have to have a whole lot of religious requirements that you would have to do before coming to a god who you fear. All the pagan gods require something so where do these religious requirements come from? Some people worship the fulfillment of religious requirements instead of the one who gives unconditional love.

You can’t come to God with confidence until you settle the fact that He is a big ball of love. He is a dad that exists to love and is thrilled when His kids confidently come to talk with Him. This love should be the driving force in every feeling, thought, belief and action involving God and man.  It is important to let go of religious views on suffering and embrace the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus as the final place where suffering was dealt with. God is love and no pain comes out of total love. God is not out to get anyone but gave the best thing He had, His Son, to redeem mankind back to himself. God does not hold back anything good from the world. Men make choices contrary to God and allow evil, not love to govern their lives.

Evil men who follow lies against the character of God are largely what is behind evil and suffering in this world.

Man has authority in the earth, not Satan, so in order for Satan to work he needs the co-operation of man. The lie that God is keeping information from man goes back to the Garden of Eden where Satan claimed to have information that God was not providing.[1] Adam, who was already created in the image of God, believed the lie that he was not like God then acted on Satan’s words.

Men are still made in the likeness of God and still have authority in the earth yet they still act on Satan’s words and that brings about evil, pain and suffering. Man never surrendered authority to Satan as Genesis 3:7 says the only thing that was cursed was the ground. If man is made in the likeness of God and still has authority in the earth then maybe the real problem is when man does not see himself made in the image of God.

Man who sees himself as less than a son of God can now blame God and Satan for problems.

The reason we have pain and suffering on the earth is not because God allows it. It is because man, who does not see himself as being in authority, chooses to follow the father of lies so reaps the fruit of those lies.

Following love and choosing to see God as ultimate love will produce better fruit and should be the motivator for all good actions. God as a loving Father is the one who wants His children free from pain. It’s a character trait of love.

Certified Letter

dog-with-letterHappy thoughts are better than sad but we are deeper than thoughts and emotions.

How deep?

There are feelings and beliefs.  They are powerful yet they can be changed.

How?

Happy thoughts will not change sad feelings any more than if someone injected you with truth serum and told you to lie. It does not work.

Feelings are powerful and control more parts of our busy lives than we admit.  Moses in the Bible recorded the creation event, “and the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” (Gen. 2:7) A living soul has feelings. Shortly afterwards, man allowed fear and shame in his feelings so he hid from God.

Feelings with pain embedded in them are held in place by lies. Adam actually thought God was mad, so Adam hid.

Not a good way to get your feelings changed.

Lots of people still think this.

The lie that God was mad at him caused fear and shame to stay in Adam’s feelings.

We are made the same way and have feelings too. Many even believe God is mad. Lies keep pain in our feelings.

Ok, How do we get rid of them?

Its possible to change. It is like changing your emotions by changing thoughts.

Only feelings are not emotions and are not controlled by thoughts.

Feelings can start thought processes but do not change when you change your thoughts like emotions.

Truth can change feelings when it gets to them.

Feelings are like a separate room in side you that is full of clutter. Clutter is like lies that are keeping pain in feelings.

The truth cannot get in because of the clutter.  It is like the Holy Spirit of truth has a letter to deliver to your feelings but can’t get it in so leaves it at the doorway of your mind. Your mind might not be home so the belief accepts the letter. The letter is full of truth that will handle any level of trauma.

It has 1 John 4:18 written in beautiful calligraphy. “perfect love case out all fear” yet the believing words can only be accessed by the mind and can never be experienced by the feelings because of clutter from past fear based letters.

If the letter could get into the feeling room and be opened the Holy Spirit would instantly be known as perfect love.

This is the biggest problem with confusing feelings with emotions.  We know the truth but the truth can not get in where the problem is.

BUT

Our Father knows how to heal us. He made us in His image. We collect pain that He strives to get us to release, and then define ourselves by the pain instead of His Glorious image.

Admitting you have pain in your feelings is a giant step. It is necessary to admit there is somethings that need to be changed. Denial is bad.

Choose to let pain based feelings go.

Choose to put off pain right now and put on love from the core of your being, your feelings.

Choose. It is divine.

Here is a helpful prayer,

Lord I choose to forgive myself. I give you permission to remove all negative pain based feeling out of my life. I surrender them_________________ to you and ask you to remove them. Heal me where I have wounded myself and forgive me where I have sinned. I choose to let pain go and surrender my perspective on my life to You. I recognize that You love and accept me completely so choose to allow your love in my feelings. I put off this pain and put on your love and love myself as well. Thank You for Your presence.

Common Grace and Intentions

I like common Grace and am alive because of it. Maybe the reason men do not have to go look for Jesus when they want to talk is he is present within common Grace. When I came to my fork in the road, concerning what to do with the Christian experience, I decided I wanted Christianity so did not have to look further than my mouth to find Jesus present. The Holy Spirits general work within common grace involves convicting men of the sin of rejecting Jesus. This is active where ever men are found. It was active in my life and I ran from it. When my intentions involved finding Christ, He was already present in the cosmos. I didn’t have to go look for Him.

Although fallen angles have wreaked havoc, sowed lies against Gods character the Holy Spirit’s number one defense against the biggest lie, that God is withholding information from us, involves men becoming free from sin in Christ and now having access to the wisdom of a Father. Right standing with God happens through Christ. Men like sin so there is always philosophy to help you mentally. If you want an experience then you have to come with nothing to receive everything. You can’t earn what is freely given.

Jesus reveals God’s character and the Holy Spirit validates it. What makes this profound is the Holy Spirit is on Jesus to heal the broken trampled underfoot heart. Understanding that all have someones footprints on their heart changed my perspective on how I view the world and the people I encounter daily. Many have had some trampling done to their heart over and over yet the Holy Spirit is already speaking to them about what to do with Jesus, how to come to Him and benefits of following. Jesus came to heal the broken.

I think the Holy Spirit is still moving on the face of the earth, as recorded in Genesis, waiting on creative words, spoken with intention, to be spoken.

The words of intention I spoke were, : Lord i am sorry for running from you for so long, I want you in my life.” Instantly He was present.

Why call God Father?

prodigal-son

Why call God Father?

Hey somebody has to be in charge. Is it the man upstairs?

Science has big claims and wants to be in charge. There are economic, evolutionary and psychological theories that include and exclude God.

Regardless of the side of the fence one is on there is observable science of cause and effect. Simply put, if you plant grape seeds you will reap bunches of grapes. So why call God Father?

By combining Einstein’s theories and time dilation they can prove six days of creation. We don’t hear about these calculations because that would prove the Bible.

If the Bible was true and there were six days of creation then someone owns this creation. Another thing, there might be some rules for living here. There are ten of them that set the standard for moral behavior.

When God introduced Himself to Moses as the law giver He said, “I am the Lord your God who brought you out of Egypt.”

He didn’t explain how time stretched at the end of the galaxy can be measured in billions of years yet calculated in seconds where we live.  He didn’t even defend creation.

He said I brought you out of slavery. Egypt in the Bible is a type of slavery.

God in the first commandment says how He feels about people living in bondage so He brought his people out of it.  He then gave nine other precepts on how to live free.

If you are in the process of breaking any of the Commandments you, not the devil, not the law, conservatives, liberals, your mother or father, are in the process of bring emotional bondage on you. Your choices are keeping you in Egypt.

All Ten Commandments can be found in Exodus 20 and Deuteronomy 5 and should be read and thought about. They were written in stone for a reason.

This is why we call God Father. He is the highest moral authority, He owns the ground we walk on and gives us the choice to break or keep His commandments.

When the disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray the first thing he said was, “pray like this,” “Our Father.”

Jesus did not say our master as it is important to approach God as His child and not as a slave.

The first commandment says He is God and He brought us out of slavery. Jesus said to call Him Father.

Keeping the Ten Commandments is the best moral code to live by. You can call God whatever you want and even break His commandments. I don’t suggest you do evil in His name or use his name vainly. Some people do that and it goes against the third commandment.

A good picture of God is seen in the story of the prodigal son as written in Luke 15. The son wasted his inheritance and was living with pigs when he came to himself. He said, “I will go to my father’s house and beg to be a slave so I can eat. The father looked and prayed daily for his son’s return.

When the son did return the father would not listen about him being a servant because the prodigal was his son,

made in his image.

Yes, he lost his way and yes, when he came back, God embraced him and loved him completely.

To sum up, even if you lost your way, God still wants us to call Him Father.
